Wild Rice with Apples and Cranberries

2 and 3/4 cups water
1/4 tsp salt
2/3 cup wild rice
1 tsp dried savory
2 green onions, chopped
1 tsp olive oil
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup dried apples, chopped
6 tbsp chicken stock
1/2 tsp onion salt
1/2 tsp lemon pepper
* bring water to boil
* add salt to water
* stir in wild rice
* cover, reduce heat, simmer 1 hour or til tender
* drain, stir in savory, set aside
* in non-stick pan saute green onion
* add chopped apple, cranberries, 3 tbsp broth (half)
* cover, simmer til tender, about 6 minutes
* add rice, onion salt, lemon pepper, remaining broth
* cook till well combined and broth absorbed
* serve in covered dish
