The Stickiest Chicken Wings

by Claudia
(Prince Rupert, Canada)

Always a crowd pleaser, especially with so many teenagers in the family these days. A great appy and potluck item.

3 pounds chicken wings
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup liquid honey
2 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp minced ginger
up to 2 tsp hot pepper sauce (depending on how spicy you like)
sesame seeds (optional, as garnish)

1) cut off wing tips (and discard or use for stock)
2) cut wings into 2 pieces at the joint.
3) place wings in single layer on greased baking sheet.
4) bake wings for 20 minutes in 450-degree oven.
5) while wings bake, combine sauce ingredients in pot.
6) bring pot to boil and boil sauce 3 minutes.
7) drain fat from baked wings.
8) turn wings over, drizzle with sauce, return baking sheet to oven for 20-30 minutes.
9) turn and baste wings every 10 minutes.
10) sprinkle with sesame seeds, serve warm.
