Picnic Salmon Rolls

Picnic Salmon Rolls

Tasty and perfect for a picnic. Also good for luncheon parties, such as showers.

2 cups flour
4 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
2/3 cup milk

1 can salmon (skin and large bones removed, use liquid)
2 ribs celery, finely chopped
2 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
1 tbsp mayonnaise

1. Preheat oven to 350o
2. Mix flour and butter
3. Add salt and baking powder
4. Add milk gradually
5. Knead for a minute
6. Roll out to rectangle shape, 1/4 inch thick
7. Prepare filling by mashing together salmon, celery, chives, mayonnaise
8. Spread filling onto dough
9. Roll up like a jelly roll, lengthwise
10. Cut into 1/2 - 3/4 inch slices
11. Bake 45 minutes
