"Pantry Special" Chicken Bake

by Aubrey
(Vernon, BC)

This is another one of those "go-to" dinners when money and groceries are tight, and you're cooking with what's already in the fridge, freezer, and pantry.

2-3 pounds skinless chicken pieces
paprika
garlic powder
celery salt
pepper
1 can mushroom soup
1 can tomato soup
1 bunch green onions, finely sliced
1 rib celery, finely sliced
1 cooking onion, finely sliced

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Place raw chicken in single layer in flat casserole.
3. Generously sprinkle several shakes of each spice over the chicken.
4. Layer on top the sliced green onion, onion, celery.
5. Combine both soups (undiluted) and spoon over.
6. Bake 1 1/2 hours.

Excellent served with any kind of noodle (pasta or egg).
