It's not summer till you've had lots of these pies.
Homemade Glaze for Berry Pies
4 cups berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)
3/4 cup sugar
1 pastry shell, baked and cooled
1 cup water
3 tbsp. cornstarch
(1) Crush 1 cup berries and cook in water for 2 minutes.
(2) Add sugar and cornstarch. Cook until thick and bubbly.
(3) Fold glaze gently into fresh berries.
(4) Gentle spoon into prepared pastry shell.
(5) Chill until serving.
(6) Serve with whip cream or ice cream (or both)
