Hibiscus Iced Tea

This simple summer refresher has good taste and colour as well as amazing health benefits. It's full of antioxidants, a great source of vitamin C, helps with weight loss, lowers blood pressure, and calms nerves and GI upset.

Hibiscus Iced Tea Recipe:
Bring four cups water to a boil in an open sauce pan. Once the water comes to a rolling boil, turn off heat and add 8 large, fresh hibiscus flowers, or 2-tbsp of dried petals. Steep 15 minutes (no longer to avoid bitterness).

The tea will be tart. You may sweeten with stevia or other preferred natural sweetener, and/or some like to steep with lemon, mint, or cinnamon sticks.

Serve hibiscus tea over ice.
