Dad's Quick Steak Dinner

by Aubrey
(Vernon, BC)

This was the dish my Dad would cook for us when we were kids and my Mom went out. It's actually quite tasty, and very easy to prepare. "Low stress" cooking, just make sure to serve with lots of green veggies and/or salad.

1 package round steak
1 tbsp cooking oil
garlic salt, pepper
1 can mushroom soup
1/2 cup water

1. Cut steak into serving size pieces
2. Brown steak both sides, sprinkle with seasoning.
3. Place browned steak in casserole.
4. Add water to soup, mix, pour over steak.
5. Cover with lid or foil.
6. Bake 350 for 90 minutes.

You can add potatoes to the oven at the same time for baked potatoes.
