Change your life to reduce stress

Just like there are many types of stress that affect each of us, there are also many ways that you choose to reduce stress in your life. For long term relief, change one thing in your life that will make your day go smoother.

For example, little things can be extremely irritating, causing undo stress. What little thing irritates you every day? Focus on it and think how YOU can change it.

ie: Your soul mate squeezes the toothpaste tube from the middle and leaves it twisted, cap off, on the sink. You can't change someone else's behavior, but this causes you stress.

Solution: buy two tubes and keep yours separate.

Next week change another irritation. Don't look at what needs to be done. Look at what HAS been done and say out loud -- I DID IT!! I DID IT!!! And give yourself applause.

Yeah! In fact, give applause to someone else. After all - it's free!

Other ways to reduce stress may include changing your environment. For example:

1. Open your windows -- often. Did you know the air we breathe inside our homes is usually two to five times more polluted that the air outdoors? This is due to the hundreds of products we use inside.

2. Preserve the nutritional value of your fruits and veggies by cubing them or simply eating them whole. Each time you slice or dice your produce, you create more surface area where minerals and antioxidants can oxidize.

3. Cook with ceramic cookware. Non-stick frying pans on a regular electric stove can release at least 6 toxic gases, including 2 carcinogens, 2 global pollutants, and a chemical that is known to be lethal to humans.

4. Use baking soda as a cleaner. This natural substance has been used for nearly 150 years to remove odors, soften water, dissolve dirt and grime, scrub soap scum, and even unclog drains.

Here are some tips to help you learn to reduce stress in your life.
