5 Things to Do to Deal with Stress and Have a Happy Life
by Alesha Wilson
Even though you are busy at work, you should not forget to take care of your body. It is, after all, the reason why you can do the things you do. Without a healthy body you will feel tired, anxious, and depressed. To avoid feeling that way, you should start doing these things:
1. Live a healthy lifestyle. Nothing beats eating nutritious foods. You will notice that as you eat healthier, your skin and body will become healthier too. Your skin will be glowing, you will be packed with energy, and you will always feel good about yourself.
2. Avoid smoking and drinking. These aren’t doing anything healthy for your body. Both these vices can cause infertility in women, which is as bad as getting cancer from eating too much soy products. You may think these are doing you good, but the truth is that they are just ruining your life.
3. Do not live in an unsafe environment. When you are always alarmed by something bad happening in the neighborhood, you will constantly feel on edge and unable to really relax. You should move to a place where you can feel safe.
4. Deal with stress productively. Some people deal with stress by drinking or taking drugs. But what do these things do for you? They let you forget for a while, then you have to face the lifetime consequences. Instead of such unproductive coping mechanisms, just take some healthy foods such as bananas and dark chocolate and enjoy doing something you love.
5. Find ways to be happy. So you may be in debt. Does that mean you need to be perpetually sad? Find little things in your life that bring joy, such as looking at your children or being grateful that you have good friends. Besides, smiling will make you look younger while frowning will only develop wrinkles.
